AREAS OF CARE

Our Therapeutic Approaches

Body-work focused

Sessions often incorporate a combination of the following therapeutic approaches to support each client’s unique needs and goals. Depending on presentation, response to treatment, and overall focus areas, certain techniques may be emphasized more individually throughout the session.

  • Craniosacral Therapy (CST)

Focused on the craniosacral system, including the skull, spine, sacrum, and surrounding nervous system structures. CST uses light touch to support nervous system regulation, relaxation, tension release, overall body balance, mobility, and functional well-being.

  • Craniosacral Fascial Therapy (CFT)

Focused on the fascial system — the connective tissue that surrounds muscles, organs, nerves, and joints throughout the body. CFT works to release fascial restrictions, support alignment, improve mobility, and promote overall comfort and regulation.

  • Myofascial Release (MFR)

Soft tissue technique designed to address restrictions within the fascia and musculoskeletal system, including muscles, tendons, and connective tissues. MFR may help improve posture, flexibility, mobility, pain management, and overall physical function

  • Pediatric & Infant Techniques

Developmentally appropriate techniques designed specifically for infants and children. Sessions may incorporate craniosacral and fascial techniques, positioning, stretching, movement, sensory-based strategies, and caregiver education to support mobility, comfort, regulation, and overall function. Each session is individualized to the child’s needs and tolerance.

  • Nervous System Regulation

Techniques focused on supporting body awareness, muscle activation, coordination, relaxation, and nervous system regulation. Sessions may incorporate movement-based strategies and techniques to improve overall function, comfort, regulation, sensory processing, and stress response. Each approach is tailored to support the body’s ability to shift between states of activation and rest.

  • Postural & Asymmetry Support

A targeted approach addressing postural imbalances, structural asymmetries, mobility restrictions, and movement patterns. Treatment may incorporate joint and soft tissue mobilizations, fascial techniques, neuromuscular re-education, therapeutic movement, and postural retraining. Interventions are used to support alignment, functional mobility, and overall body mechanics.

  • Stretching & Mobility Support

Gentle stretching and mobility-based techniques used to support flexibility, posture, movement patterns, joint mobility, and overall physical comfort. Sessions may also include individualized recommendations and home strategies to support carryover outside of treatment.

  • Headache & Migraine Support

An integrative approach addressing cranial, cervical, fascial, and nervous system contributors to headache and migraine patterns. Treatment may incorporate craniosacral therapy, fascial mobilization, manual therapy, mobility techniques, and nervous system regulation.

  • TMJ & Jaw Support

Targeted hands-on treatment for jaw tightness, clicking, limited opening, facial tension, and TMJ discomfort or pain. May include intraoral work, fascial release, therapeutic exercises, joint mobilization, and neuromuscular re-education to support jaw mobility, coordination, and function.

  • Oral & Palatal Support

Hands-on techniques addressing tension within the jaw, mouth, and palate to support mobility, oral function, and comfort. May complement care during palate expansion, orthodontic treatment, or oral restriction rehabilitation.

  • SomatoEmotional Release

A gentle mind-body approach using therapeutic touch, guided awareness, and dialogue to explore emotional experiences and stress patterns that may be reflected through physical tension, guarding, and holding patterns in the body.

  • Client & Caregiver Education

Education is taught throughout sessions to help clients/ caregivers better understand ways to support continued progress outside of treatment. We believe in ongoing processes, and support beyond the session to promote long-term carryover

Faith-Based SomatoEmotional Release

At Thrive, We believe God created the body, mind, and spirit to work together. Experiences of stress, overwhelm, and difficult seasons of life can be reflected in the body through patterns of tension, guarding, and holding.

Christ-Centered SomatoEmotional Release provides a gentle space to address these patterns through craniosacral and fascial bodywork while keeping Christ at the center of the healing experience.

Sessions may incorporate prayer, Scripture, worship music, and quiet reflection, creating space to slow down, release physical tension, and find rest in God’s presence.

There is never pressure to experience an emotional release. We simply create space for the body to soften, the nervous system to settle, and for you to feel supported physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28
